A Circle of Support, Transformation and Nature Connection

Motherhood is a profound journey of change, growth, and self-discovery. The Mother Nature Circles and Retreats are a space where mothers and women come together in community, sharing their experiences, wisdom, and challenges in a supportive and nurturing environment. Rooted in the principles of personal transformation, deep nature connection, and life design, these women’s circles empower us to embrace their evolving identities with strength and grace.

I offer monthly circles in our beautiful private woodland in Bredwardine, Herefordshire, UK.

Myself and Emma Gorbutt from the Mother Nature project UK offer a day retreat once each season of the year, online and in person.

Why Motherhood is an Extraordinary Transformation

Motherhood—especially in the early years—is a time of unexpected changes and deep transformation. It is a journey that pushes us beyond our limits, enhances our capacity for love, and strengthens our emotional and mental resilience.

This transition also fosters the development of vital life skills, often referred to as "soft skills":

  • Problem-solving & Adaptability: Navigating the daily challenges of motherhood requires creativity, patience, and resourcefulness.

  • Empathy & Emotional Intelligence: Understanding the needs of a child cultivates profound emotional awareness and deepened interpersonal connections.

  • Time Management & Leadership: Balancing responsibilities enhances our ability to organise, prioritise, and lead with confidence.

At the Mother Nature Project we recognise that these skills are not just relevant to motherhood but extend into all aspects of life—relationships, careers, and personal growth. By acknowledging and embracing these transformations, we empower mothers to shape their own paths with intention and self-awareness.

What is a Mother Nature Circle?

The Mother Nature Circle is an intimate, in-person or online gathering designed to offer mothers a safe space for connection, reflection, and support. This experience fosters deep sharing and meaningful conversations in a trusting environment.

Our circles are based on the belief that motherhood is not just a role—it is a profound transformation that shapes who we are. Through guided discussions, nature-based rituals, and storytelling, we explore the challenges, joys, and personal growth that come with this journey.

How do the Circles Work?

Mother Nature Circles are nurturing gatherings where women come together to support one another on their mothering journey, guided by a trained facilitator. Inspired by the beautiful Mother Nature cards—featuring vibrant imagery and meaningful reflections—these circles provide a safe and heartfelt space for sharing and contemplation.

Held within the serene setting of our woodland regeneration project, Nemetona (Goddess of Sacred Havens) our private woodland in Herefordshire, shared with Bridget Rowan, our circles often take place around a crackling fire in a sheltered woodland space or by the river on fine days. We welcome mothers, women supporting mothers, and those who resonate with the creative journey of bringing projects and dreams to life.

We look forward to welcoming you.

The Three Pillars of the Mother Nature Project

1. Supporting Mothers in Personal Transformation

We honour the identity shifts, emotional challenges, and profound growth that come with motherhood. Through shared experiences, guided reflection, and peer support, we create a space where mothers can be seen, heard, and understood.

2. Deep Nature Connection

Nature is an incredible source of nourishment and grounding. Our circles integrate nature-based practices, such as outdoor gatherings, mindfulness in natural settings, and earth-centered rituals, to help mothers reconnect with their innate wisdom and find balance within the cycles of life.

3. Designing Our Life Path

As mothers and women, we continuously evolve. Our circles provide tools and guidance to help women design their lives with clarity and purpose—whether it’s redefining their identity, pursuing passions, or finding a fulfilling balance between motherhood and personal aspirations.
